[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED]
On This Page

This policy is intended to describe, in plain language, what information the platform handles and why. Placeholder introduction — final wording requires legal review.

The intended direction is that the platform collects the information necessary to operate accounts, assessments, learning features, security and the service itself. This direction is not final legal wording.

This summary is provided for readability only. It does not replace, limit or override the full policy below, and it is not the approved legal text.

  • Accounts use a minimal set of information: display name, email address and authentication/security data.
  • Assessment and learning activity is recorded so results, history and recommendations can be provided.
  • Operational and security information may be processed to keep the service running. Exact behaviour is still to be confirmed.
  • Personalised pages such as the dashboard, assessment history and individual results are private application pages, not public profiles.

Information We Collect

The categories below describe the disclosure structure. Only the final, reviewed policy may state what is actually collected.

Configurable disclosure categories prepared for this platform:

  • Account information
  • Authentication and security information
  • Assessment information
  • Learning and activity information
  • Technical and log information
  • Analytics information
  • Contact-form communications
  • Cookie and device information

How We Use Information

Purposes prepared for confirmation:

  • Create and manage accounts
  • Verify email addresses
  • Authenticate users
  • Provide assessments
  • Calculate and store assessment results
  • Maintain assessment history
  • Provide learning recommendations
  • Send service communications
  • Maintain security
  • Troubleshoot technical problems
  • Improve content and the product
  • Comply with applicable obligations

Catch-all wording such as “for any business purpose” is deliberately not used.

Account Information

The account model is intentionally minimal and is prepared for:

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Authentication credentials and related security data

No address, phone number, employer, job title, date of birth, gender, government identifier or profile image is part of the planned account model.

Authentication and account security

High-level areas covered by authentication and security handling:

  • Registration
  • Login
  • Email verification
  • Password recovery
  • Sessions and related security information

Implementation details such as token mechanics are intentionally not described.

Assessment & Learning Data

Assessment information prepared for disclosure:

  • Assessment category
  • Questions presented
  • Selected responses
  • Whether responses were correct
  • Topic
  • Internally assigned difficulty
  • Time spent per question
  • Total assessment duration
  • Assessment status
  • Weighted score
  • Platform level
  • Attempt history
  • Reassessment status

Platform levels (Starter, Intermediate, Expert) are internal platform classifications. They are not accredited, government or professional credentials.

Learning and activity information

Prepared for confirmation of what is actually stored:

  • Learning pages interacted with
  • Recommendations presented
  • Dashboard progress
  • Assessment-linked learning recommendations
  • Other authenticated learning activity

Viewing a public learning page does not automatically create authenticated learning history.

Private application pages

Public learning and blog pages are intended to be indexable. Dashboards, assessment history, individual results and account pages are private application pages prepared as noindex.

noindex is not access control. Actual privacy depends on the authentication and authorisation implemented by the backend. There is no public leaderboard and no public results profile.

Technical & Analytics Data

Potential operational information:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device characteristics
  • Timestamps
  • Request logs
  • Security events
  • Application errors and logs

Analytics and Service Improvement

Possible purposes:

  • Understand how public content is used
  • Improve learning material
  • Analyse aggregate assessment performance
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Improve service performance

Teaching Google Analytics as a subject does not mean this website uses Google Analytics. No provider is named until one is selected and implemented.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

Configurable categories, to be rendered only for technologies actually in use:

  • Essential and security
  • Authentication and session
  • Preferences
  • Analytics
  • Advertising and personalisation

The planned backend session and security behaviour may eventually require essential cookies. Final disclosure must match the implementation.

Email Communications

Service and account communications planned by the current product architecture:

  • Email verification
  • Password recovery
  • Assessment result email
  • 30-day reassessment reminder
  • Necessary account and security communication

These are service communications, not marketing. Newsletters or promotional email are not claimed and would be described separately if implemented.

Contact Form Information

Information a contact submission may include:

  • Name, when supplied
  • Email address
  • Reason for contact
  • Subject, when supplied
  • Message
  • A relevant page URL, when voluntarily supplied

File attachments are not part of Phase 1.

Service Providers

Functional categories that may apply once vendors are selected:

  • Hosting and infrastructure
  • Database
  • Email delivery
  • Analytics
  • Security and monitoring
  • Authentication infrastructure

Mentioning a company such as Google, Ahrefs or Semrush in educational content does not mean user information is shared with that company.

Data Sharing / Disclosure

Structure prepared for the disclosures the final policy may need to address:

  • Disclosures to service providers acting on the platform's behalf
  • Legally required or safety-related disclosures
  • User-directed disclosure
  • Business-transfer scenarios, if applicable

How Long We Keep Information

Retention is expected to differ by category, including:

  • Account information
  • Assessment records
  • Aggregate or de-identified analytics
  • Logs and security records
  • Contact inquiries
  • Email records

Account Deletion & Anonymization

The product requirement is that account deletion removes personal information and anonymises assessment analytics where appropriate. Account deletion is performed from Account Settings; it is not offered from this page.

Final wording must state precisely:

  • What personal information is deleted
  • What records remain
  • What is anonymised
  • What legal or security retention may still apply

The terms anonymous, anonymised and aggregated are not interchangeable and must only be used where the engineering treatment supports the claim.

How We Protect Information

Restrained, implementation-backed principles prepared for confirmation:

  • Authentication controls
  • Access controls
  • Encrypted transport
  • Secure credential handling
  • Ongoing maintenance and monitoring

No claim of absolute security is made. Specific cryptographic configuration is not described.

Privacy Rights & Choices

Legal concepts that may or may not apply depending on jurisdiction:

  • Access
  • Correction
  • Deletion
  • Restriction
  • Objection
  • Portability
  • Withdrawal of consent
  • Complaint rights

These concepts are listed as structure only. No claim is made that any of them applies to a given user.

Children's Privacy / Minimum Age

An age requirement, if any, will be stated here once decided. An educational platform is not automatically intended for children.

International Data Handling

Where information is stored or transferred will be described only once the infrastructure and any applicable transfer requirements are known.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

When this policy changes, the effective date and last-updated date shown at the top of the page will be updated.

No promise of individual email notification for every update is made.

Service provider records

No provider records are published. Records are added only when a real vendor is contracted and its data handling is verified.

Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form, which supports a privacy / data question reason.

The contact form is a general communication channel. It does not, by itself, constitute a statutory rights-request process.
