Key rules
These rules apply to every official assessment attempt.
What to expect
- To review: 15 questions in a single category.
- To review: A 20-minute total countdown for the whole attempt.
- To review: One category per assessment.
- To review: Difficulty adapts as you answer.
- To review: Current difficulty is hidden during the assessment.
- To review: No running score is shown.
- To review: Progress is shown only as Question X of 15.
- Needs attention: Where an “I'm not sure” option is offered, it scores the same as an incorrect answer.
- Needs attention: The timer continues through refreshes, tab changes, temporary closure or connection interruptions.
- To review: An attempt can be resumed only within its original 20-minute window.
- To review: When the time expires, the answers provided so far are submitted automatically.
- Fails the standard: Timed-out, incomplete or abandoned attempts receive no official level.
Timer and resuming
The 20-minute timer starts when the official assessment starts and does not pause for any reason.
If your browser refreshes, closes temporarily or your connection is interrupted, you can return and resume the attempt — but only while the original 20-minute window is still open.

How long do I have?

What happens if my connection drops?
